What if my e-ticket is not transferable?
If you can not electornically transfer your e-ticket that you have sold you have a couple options:
- Contact whoever you originally purchased the ticket from and ask them to change your ticket to will call under the buyer's name
- Contact the primary seller and ask if they can send you PDF's of the e-tickets and upload them to the buyer directly in the thread or send via email
- Send them a screenshot of the QR electronic ticket along with the email confirmation sent to you when you purchased the tickets
Please note: You need to reach out to the buyer immedaitely and let them know you are working on getting them their ticket. They can request a refund if you select "Electronic Transfer" and they are not transferable so please be careful when selectiong your ticket type when making a post.
Adding Electronic Ticket Transfer Information
Your address book isn't just for mailing anymore!
You can add your account information for Ticket Master, Flash Seats, AXS, EventBrite, etc. at your billing settings
When a seller chooses electronic transfer when listing a ticket for sale when they go to mark as "shipped" if your address book has your electronic transfer accounts linked they can transfer to you right away. This makes the process easier on them and you, and really comes in handy for those last minute ticket transfers right before show time!
How does electronic transfer work?
a) If the tickets are TicketMaster tickets and they offer the button to transfer them when viewing your orders, you will need the buyer's email. Simply enter it in and it will send them a fresh ticket with a new bar code. Your tickets will become invalid at this point.
b) If there is no ability to process a transfer, you may upload the PDF directly to the discussion in CashorTrade. All uploaded files are fully encrypted and the buyer will need to confirm their login info to download them. If you have forgotten your password visit: https://cashortrade.org/forgotpwd to reset your password.
Are Platinum Tickets Allowed On The Site?
Yes, there is a common misconception about Platinum Tickets.
-Although they are higher priced than most others in the venue, these tickets are not scalped and not resold tickets-
Instead, they are selected seats that have been marked up relative to demand. This increase in revenue goes to the band, ticket company, promoters, and often the artist's non-profit. Unfortunately, it is a new pricing model that is much like airline seats. As these tickets are being purchased for the first time, and no middle man is making any profit, these are actually face-value tickets.
For more information on Platinum Tickets visit https://www.ticketmaster.com/h/platinum/buyerfaq.html
How Do I Know When My Offer Is Accepted?
CashorTrade allows the seller to choose who they sell their extra tickets to!
Allowing the seller to choose who gets their ticket is one of the many ways that help us maintain the community vibe the site offers. Buyers are selected based upon location, friendliness, reviews, icons....anything, really!
When your offer is accepted if you are committed to buy, your card will be charged and your offer will move from your Offers tab to your inbox in the Message section.
-If the post says sold, unfortunately your offer was not accepted-
If you have made an offer that you wish to withdrawal and has not been accepted you can go to your sent offers and choose the option to "rescind".
What is Trader's Protection?
All purchases on CashorTrade are now backed by Trader's Protection, a 100% money-back guarantee!
Buyers no longer pay sellers on CashorTrade with PayPal. Instead, you pay with a credit or debit card, and CashorTrade holds the funds in escrow to protect both the buyer and seller. The payment is released when the buyer marks the tickets as received.
Visit our Trader's Protection page for more information!
When Do I Get Paid?
As soon as you accept a payment you are "paid" it is held in an escrow account until the event occurs or the tickets are received.
If you need a sale voided create a support ticket immediately. The sale will not void by not marking the tickets as received.
There are a few different levels for payout & they all affect when exactly the money shows up in your PayPal account.
3 Days After The Event
- All users start at this payout. This is the safest way for us to ensure all tickets and transactions are carried through until the end. The payout automatically gets sent out as long as there are no issues reported with the tickets.
Upon Tickets Received
- If you would like to add a debit or credit card on file we can approve you for Upon Tickets Received payout. This means once the buyer indicates that the tickets are in their possession your payout will be released. It may take a full day to send depending on what time they mark them as received. Please check your payouts tab to see the expected delivery date.
Next Day
- Next Day payout is for trusted users only. CashorTrade awards this status when members have proven themselves on the platform. It is general, this status is not considered until a user has at least 10 or more positive transactions through our escrow service, has been fully validated on the platform for over a year, and has had adequate participation.
To see which one you are approved for, visit the account settings page and choose "payouts".
NOTE: CID packages are manually pushed out upon admin review so the payout date is not exact, your payout may be put on hold until 3-days after the event on a case by case basis.
In order to have your CID package payout pushed out as quickly as possible; please forward the following items to receipts@cashortrade.org
- The original receipt from your package purchase
- The official transfer waiver from CID
- A photo of your government issued ID or driver's license
For more details, on paying and payouts visit our terms and conditions.
Do I Send Tickets Before I Receive Payment?
Yes. The newest update made it so the commitment from the buyer is their payment.
-The buyer pays CashorTrade, we hold their cash in Escrow until the transaction is complete, and then we pay you. They are charged right when you click "accept payment"-
If it shows in your message string that the buyer has paid, you should send tickets. As a seller, you are protected as long as you deliver valid tickets. If you do not deliver valid tickets your card on file will be charged for the price of the tickets and the Trader's Protection.
What Does 1 for 1 Mean?
Fair Means Fair!
You can not offer 2 for 1 trades. Only 2 for 1 + cash difference.
Giving away a ticket with no strings is a miracle. Adding an extra ticket to a trade makes it unfair. We used to allow such trades until we had members offer 4 and 6 tickets for 1 ticket. With everyone doing that, it ruins the spirit of the site.
-If you have been flagged for a post requesting two tickets for the one ticket and not offering a cash difference your post will be subject for removal.
What kinds of posts can I make?
Sales
These details are generally useful to include in the title of your post. You can always add more information in the post description.
- Performer name, venue and/or date
- Quantity of tickets
- Seat section and/or row
- What you're looking for in return
"In Search of" (ISO) posts
Unlike other secondary ticket resale websites, CashorTrade lets you harness the power of a social network. You can add posts stating that you are searching for a specific ticket. This is commonly abbreviated as "ISO" (in search of). You will receive an email, text and notification within your CashorTrade inbox when a member that has the ticket you want contacts you.
Trading multiple tickets
CashorTrade does not limit the amount of tickets you can add to a post. You can add tickets for multiple events, festivals and performers. CashorTrade is super flexible.
Just make sure you tag your events when you compose your post. This will ensure your tickets are properly indexed in our system and give the best visibility.

If you have an issue, please make a support ticket, and we will assist you as quickly as possible.
Our online tech support is available:
