Bertha: Grateful Drag
Bertha: Grateful Drag was formed in 2023 by a group of Nashville locals who aimed to push back against the Tennessee drag ban by raising awareness and funds benefiting LGBTQ+ organizations, all while performing the music of the Grateful Dead in full drag. The band, founded by Melody Walker & Caitlin Doyle, often features a rotating cast of stellar musicians taking a turn in drag and on stage to benefit a meaningful cause.
This June you can find Bertha: Grateful Drag playing a run of shows in Colorado on June 13 in Bellvue, CO, June 15 in Crested Butte, CO and a free show June 17 in Vail, CO. The colorful Colorado shows will benefit Rocky Mountain Equality, whose mission is to create connections and provide advocacy, education, research, cultural events, and responsive programs and services that ensure LGBTQ+ people, families, and communities thrive.
The music doesn’t stop there, as more Bertha shows are scheduled from August 6 – November 22 from coast to coast. Each show will benefit a different local organization supporting the LGBTQ+ community.
Cue up a new playlist and check your calendars to make sure you can catch the artists featured in our 2025 Pride Live Music Guide.
